“These two exceptionally talented performers make each moment a treat.’’-The Irish Times

Wicked Angels are back with their award winning show I’m not A.D.H.D… I’m B.O.L.D! In 2007 Fringe audiences swarmed to their first production Waiting for IKEA which was the first ever show to sell out in the Dublin Fringe Festival before opening!

Once again penned by Georgina McKevitt and Jacinta Sheerin, the duo revisit the heart of their work – the relationships between women, friendship, and the inherent comedy of life. Whereas their last show drew on their experiences as friends and a keen observation of the pyjama girls phenomenon, I’m not A.D.H.D…I’m B.O.L.D! draw’s on their practice working in schools as drama facilitators. Both have met with many characters working in the education sector and they were interested in the fact that the levels of ADHD are recognisably on the rise and how many people are affected by it…and not just the children!

Sheerin’s comic ability will once again be present onstage and she will be joined by Clare Barrett (Irish Times Theatre Award winner in 2012 for I Alice I). The play is devised and directed by Veronica Coburn (co-founder of Barabbas Theatre, director of 2012 Irish Times Award winning Eternal Rising of the Sun).

Dana, a primary school teacher with ADD is forced to attend therapy following a string of events, one involving an ADHD boy, a milk carton and some very strong language. Ingrid, a dramatherapist, is now single and detached in every way. She requires TLC – unfortunately she is about to get a smack of OCD and PMT. One day, one therapy room, one puppet.

Further praise for Wicked Angels on Waiting for IKEA:

“I loved it… If you want to escape from the doom and gloom then this is the show for you.” –The View, RTE

“The script is sharp and laugh out loud funny” – Irish Theatre Magazine
