On the 22nd November @ 8pm
The Courthouse Gallery is marking the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination on the 22nd November with a presentation and lecture by Godfrey Graham.
Godfrey Grahams’ lecture promises to be a fascinating account of the life, times and memories of a cameraman. He saw first hand, the changes in Ireland and the world as well as meeting some of the most famous (and infamous) politicians, authors and entertainers.
Through his lens Graham has captured John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, Princess Grace, Patrick Kavanagh, Brendan Behan, Robert Mitchum among the most noteworthy personalities of the latter half of the 20th century.
Godfrey Graham joined RTÉ Television shortly after it was launched as one of its first lighting cameramen. For the next 40 years, he worked on some of the station’s most significant programmes, and he covered the visit to Ireland of US President John F. Kennedy
A selection of some of his best photographs have been acquired by The National Photographic Archive in Dublin.
