Lama Jigmé Namgyal was born into a nomad family in the eastern part of Tibet, where he studied Buddhism from a young age.
He has had as his teachers many great and authentic Lamas of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition
After consulting his teachers, Lama Jigmé decided to leave for Europe making the difficult journey from Tibet across the Himalayan mountain range.
He has lived in Luxembourg for over ten years where he is based. This is his fifth visit to Ireland.
Apart from being a teacher of meditation, Lama Jigmé has had much experience in spiritually accompanying the dying.
He also has a great love of music and has been known to sing the odd song.
