11am-1pm - Junk Jewellery with Marianne Slevin

Join artist Marianne Slevin for a workshop where junk is transformed into jewellery, from recycled plastic necklaces to tinfoil tiaras. Marianne uses recycled materials in her work, and has an expert eye for turning ‘rubbish’ into beautiful artworks.

Materials supplied (but do bring your own interesting bits of rubbish if you like!) Suitable for children aged 5+

1.30 - 3.30pm - Painting With Plants with Cáitriona Sheedy

Did you know that you can make paints and inks from the contents of your family fridge or pantry?

Cáitriona Sheedy will steer children through the process of making art materials from plants, vegetables – even spices – in this fun workshop you will learn how to make paint and ink from things you usually eat!
