The Courthouse Gallery & Studios is delighted to present a series of workshops for young people with artist Sufek West for Cruinniú na nÓg 2023. Coinciding with our Summer Open exhibition “Summer of Love” which is designed to create atime to reflect, embrace each other and celebrate the positives we have allaround us while also acknowledging June being International Pride Month. We believea moment to embrace love and the joys in life is important now as we face huge challenges and global issues unlike ever before for most of us.
For Cruinniúna nÓg on June 10th 2023, we will host three drawing and painting workshops young people by Sufek West, mural artist, print maker and a member ofthe galleries studios. Sufek West recently erected a mural outside theCourthouse Gallery in Ennistymon and we are inviting young people to create theirown collaborative mural on boards to celebrate the collaborative nature of the publicart and celebrate the fun and joy imbued in it by the participants.
The boards will be displayed outside the gallery for the duration of the summer open which will run to July 22nd.
Please join us for these free workshops at 11 am for ages up to 14, and a workshop at1 pm and 3 pm for everyone. All materials are provided, make sure to wearnon-precious clothes for those little paint splashes. Please be advised theworkshops will take place outside, painting directly on boards mounted to theexterior railings – Weather permitting.
